About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain, operate, monitor, and repair utilities and central plant equipment
- Respond to maintenance requests for hospital, clinic, and supporting facilities
- Maintain the central plant in good, clean working condition
- Perform preventive maintenance and schedule and complete corrective maintenance
- Document all activities and maintenance
- Answer phones and resolve requests by identifying the department
- Complete preventive maintenance and work requests using proper work order forms
- Monitor and operate power plant equipment by visually inspecting and adjusting equipment for maximum efficiency
- Troubleshoot engineering equipment and systems according to manufacturers' maintenance and operating parameters
- Operate, monitor, and maintain the Energy Management System
- Adjust heating/cooling schedules according to building loads
- Perform building rounds and equipment inspections
- Enter round sheet data and report problems to the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with water treatment for heating and cooling systems
- Experience using HVAC/Temperature controls
- Experience with Energy Management Systems
- Computer Operations experience
- OSHA Basic
- NFPA70E
- Basic math skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under stressful conditions
- Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
- Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors
- Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary
- Preferred: Associates degree in Operating Engineering
- Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing, working in confined spaces, operating machinery and power tools, and moving objects weighing 20–100 pounds
