About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform design activities for assigned projects under the supervision of a Licensed Professional Structural Engineer (LPSE)
  • Assist the project team in producing projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Produce construction documents for assigned projects
  • Generate basic structural details and sections
  • Generate foundation plans and framing plans
  • Uphold TME's owner advocacy philosophy and organizational core values
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Company Leadership
  • Work under general supervision
  • Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-year Technical Degree or Associates Degree in Engineering Related Field
  • 2-4 years of structural design or drafting experience
  • 2-4 years' experience with AutoDesk Revit BIM Software
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Vision and Creativity
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Solid working knowledge of the subject matter
  • Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel 5-10% of the time to job sites or office locations
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to remain stationary, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands and/or fingers
  • Ability to work in a quiet environment
  • Ability to adjust and/or move objects up to 20 pounds
