About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and expense reimbursements
- Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, ensure timely payments, and resolve vendor discrepancies and inquiries
- Generate customer invoices, monitor accounts receivable aging, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve billing issues
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Assist with month-end closing by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
- Assist in preparing financial statements, variance analyses, and ad hoc financial reports
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation, responding to inquiries, and addressing audit findings
- Identify process improvements and efficiency gains within the accounting function
- Collaborate with procurement, sales, operations, and finance teams to address financial issues and support organizational goals
- Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Highly adaptable in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with clients and team members
- Ability to identify priorities and meet deadlines
- CPA certification preferred but not required
- Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, HubSpot or Bank of America CashPro a plus
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
