About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and maintain strong client relationships by analyzing client needs and recommending solutions
- Oversee complex client projects and apply industry best practices
- Develop, customize, and maintain project artifacts such as RFPs and project timelines
- Maintain project scope, schedule, and budget according to the plan or statement of work
- Facilitate project workshops, vendor sessions, meetings, communications, and other critical project events
- Provide subject matter expertise for conversion, implementation, and merger of bank and credit union solutions
- Track, address, and escalate project risks, gaps, and issues
- Develop and sustain relationships with strategic vendors
- Study financial industry market trends and participate in solution demonstrations
- Monitor vendor changes, competitors, system updates, and functionality
- Represent client and Engage fi interests in vendor interactions
- Assist with process review, improvement, implementation, and development of best-practice tools
- Track and record project billing hours and budgets
- Mentor and train Engage fi team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field or related experience
- 10+ years of experience in the credit union, banking, payments, or related vendor industry
- Preference for previous leadership positions, project oversight/management proficiency, and core banking conversion familiarity
- Deep industry knowledge of core banking and related vendors, solutions, tools, and processes
- Experience completing vendor selection technology projects involving both product and custom solutions
- Strong knowledge of vendor technology contracts, general contract business terms, and vendor proposal pricing analysis and comparisons
- Ability to manage external, third-party vendors and clients/customers, including their employees, consultants, and designated subcontractors
- Ability to facilitate creative problem-solving sessions with leadership teams across different business disciplines
- Ability to present complex solutions to senior leadership teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and CRM platforms
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize work effectively
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
