About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide guidance, expertise, and support to Engage fi clients as a strategic partner and training subject matter expert
- Support critical transformation initiatives, including core and digital conversions and mergers and acquisitions
- Assess, design, and implement training strategies for seamless transitions, optimized client experience, and operational readiness
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by analyzing needs, recommending solutions, and guiding internal stakeholders
- Oversee complex client projects and apply industry best practices to execute strategies and mitigate risk
- Develop, customize, and maintain project artifacts such as RFPs and project timelines
- Maintain project scope, schedule, and budget according to the statement of work
- Facilitate project workshops, vendor sessions, project meetings, and other critical project events and communications
- Provide subject matter expertise to track, address, and escalate risks, gaps, and issues
- Develop and sustain relationships with strategic vendors
- Study financial industry market trends and evaluate vendor solutions, competitors, system updates, and functionality
- Conduct training needs assessments aligned with institution-specific goals and compliance requirements
- Develop training plans for frontline and back-office staff during core and digital platform conversions
- Guide training curricula and delivery methods, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats
- Assist with change management initiatives and staff adoption
- Guide refresher and gap training effectiveness
- Assist with process review, improvement, implementation, and development of project artifacts and tools
- Track and record project billing hours and budgets
- Mentor and train other Engage fi team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong intrapersonal and professional verbal communication skills
- Ability to take in information, listen, develop persuasive arguments, and present solutions and recommendations effectively
- Ability to put together and deliver presentations and training to clients and facilitate discussions with clients, vendors, and other key third parties
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical knowledge of Smartsheet, Microsoft Office, and PowerPoint; ability to learn other software programs
- Evolved problem-solving skills and natural curiosity for solving problems
- Advanced critical thinking skills, including what-if analysis and understanding and articulating options and consequences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and strong time-management skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to achieve required results
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field or related experience
- 10+ years of experience in the credit union, banking, payments, or related vendor industry
- Preference for previous leadership positions, project oversight/management proficiency, and core banking conversion familiarity
- Deep industry knowledge of core banking and related vendors, solutions, tools, and processes
- Experience in training design, facilitation, and implementation
- Ability to manage external, third-party vendors and clients/customers, including their employees, consultants, and designated subcontractors
- Experience facilitating creative problem-solving sessions with leadership teams across different business disciplines
- Ability to present complex solutions to senior leadership teams
- Exposure to contracts and vendor management
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, and CRM platforms
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- 10-20% travel required
