About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare technical contributions to legislative and regulatory improvements proposed by Brazilian electricity sector authorities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory obligations set forth in concession and authorization grants and sector regulations
- Support the development of new business opportunities by providing regulatory guidance for participation in auctions and commencement of operations
- Represent the company at technical forums, industry associations, and institutions within the electricity sector
- Prepare opinions on business modeling and propose regulatory changes to industry entities
- Manage and improve regulatory platforms for public consultations, administrative proceedings, and bills
- Assess and propose the company’s position on strategic legislative and regulatory discussions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Exact Sciences, Applied Social Sciences, or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of technical and economic regulation in the Brazilian electricity sector
- Intermediate experience developing regulatory solutions for power generation and energy trading projects
- Knowledge of risk analysis, economic and financial feasibility, and project management
- Advanced English proficiency
- Multidisciplinary profile with the ability to work across market and regulatory topics
- Strong attention to deadlines, emotional maturity, and negotiation skills
- Preferred: experience with optimization modeling or exposure to pricing models
