About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and perform Mechanical & Civil QC inspection activities with minimal supervision
  • Ensure all Civil and Mechanical ITP stages are followed, verified, and properly documented
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, P&IDs, isometrics, structural drawings, and specifications
  • Conduct surveillance, witness points, and hold points as per QC plans and contractor schedules
  • Monitor daily site activities for compliance with approved procedures and quality requirements
  • Identify, document, and report Non-Conformances (NCRs), and follow up on corrective/preventive actions
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to resolve quality-related issues
  • Perform mechanical checks/tests, including dimensional inspections, fit-up and weld quality verification where applicable
  • Perform civil tests including compaction, concrete placement, and rebar checks
  • Maintain QC documentation, logs, checklists, and reports
  • Complete and submit inspection reports, test records, and related documentation on time
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior inspectors when required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Civil or Mechanical Degree/Diploma OR CCIL-certified technician
  • Hands-on construction or industrial site experience strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Inspection procedures, tools, and test equipment
  • Ability to interpret and apply Civil & Mechanical codes and standards
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and digital QC documentation tools
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to site safety practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with contractors and project teams
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of performing under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous lead or senior QC experience is an asset and preferred
