About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the vision, roadmap, budget allocation, bid strategy, partner mix, testing agenda, performance, and efficiency of SEM and search channels
  • Recruit, vet, onboard, negotiate with, and manage affiliate partners and networks
  • Monitor affiliate activity for brand bidding, lead-quality issues, and fraud
  • Collaborate with data science, analytics, reporting, and BI teams to translate model insights into channel decisions
  • Connect channel decisions to acquisition volume, efficiency, costs, profitability, unit economics, and P&L results
  • Adopt and champion AI tools across research, analysis, creative, reporting, testing, and optimization
  • Identify new growth opportunities, channels, and partner relationships
  • Run hands-on SEM and affiliate execution, including campaign builds, bid and budget management, keyword and audience strategy, partner management, and landing pages
  • Design, prioritize, measure, and scale experiments across creative, bidding, and partners
  • Ensure paid search and affiliate activity meets regulatory, legal, compliance, and brand-integrity requirements
  • Partner with Analytics, Finance, Creative, Product Marketing, Legal, and Compliance and present recommendations and results to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 7+ years of experience in performance marketing, specifically paid search / SEM, affiliate marketing and a proven track record of driving online conversions and customer acquisition
  • Strategic, ownership mindset with a history of identifying opportunities and problems and driving solutions without being prompted
  • Proven proficiency with AI tools and a track record of using them to drive real marketing outcomes across analysis, reporting, creative, testing, and decision support
  • Hands-on fluency across paid search, AI/LLM and affiliate platforms, including Google Ads, Microsoft (Bing) Ads, Search Ads 360 or Marin, and affiliate networks/tracking platforms
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with performance reporting, web analytics tools such as Google Analytics / GA4 and Adobe Analytics, and SQL/BI tools
  • Ability to connect channel performance to business and P&L outcomes and explain that story simply to non-technical stakeholders
  • Exceptional communication and project management skills, with experience aligning cross-functional teams and delivering on timelines
  • Self-starter, action-oriented approach; operates as an owner and treats the P&L as their own
