About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Sr. Manager of Compliance
  • Support development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and practices
  • Help ensure business-unit activities follow regulatory requirements
  • Maintain regulatory compliance programs, policies, and practices supporting broader compliance objectives
  • Track laws and regulations affecting organizational policies and support necessary changes with Advisory team members supporting SMB and Consumer lending businesses
  • Maintain working knowledge of federal and state consumer protection and lending laws, including UDAP/UDAAP, ECOA, FCRA, TILA, and TCPA
  • Research and support responses to compliance questions and requests, escalating complex or ambiguous matters
  • Support compliance diligence reviews, third-party risk management, customer complaints, compliance testing, risk assessments, and related initiatives
  • Identify compliance and operational risks, assist with root cause analysis, and develop recommendations
  • Coordinate between business units and the Advisory team on audit requests, compliance controls, findings, and follow-up actions
  • Identify gaps in the compliance program and help implement policy, process, and procedure changes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Regulatory compliance experience in a lending industry is a plus
  • Strong exposure in the implementation, training and/or monitoring of business operations for compliance with laws and regulations and established policies, business rules and procedures
  • Willingness to learn and assist with other compliance-related projects and initiatives
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently or in a team
  • Proficiency and self-sufficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications, namely Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Google Sheets
  • Experience with AI applications such as Claude or Gemini is a plus
  • Eligible to work in the United States; Enova is unable to sponsor visas or take over sponsorship
