About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
Respond to and resolve IT support tickets for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
Install, configure, and maintain network equipment and end-user workstations
Implement security measures directed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Managers
Provide remote and in-person technical support to end users across the organization
Perform regular network audits and updates to maintain compliance with security policies
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights across systems
Support custom applications necessary to run plant operations at EnovaPremier
Document network topology, support interactions, and technical procedures
Analyze network traffic and performance metrics to optimize system operations
Track IT assets and manage equipment lifecycle
Collaborate with IT teams on projects requiring network and support expertise
Research and recommend technology enhancements to improve efficiency
Participate in daily plant touchpoint meetings when on site
Perform other responsibilities and roles as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
2+ years of experience in network administration and/or IT support roles
Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS) and troubleshooting
Experience with network hardware configuration (Dell, Juniper, Cisco or similar)
Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite
Understanding of network security principles and implementation
Experience with remote desktop support tools and ticketing systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication abilities and customer service orientation
Minimum 3–4 days per week on site at the Paris, KY facility
Ability to work occasional evening or weekend maintenance or emergency shifts
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
Ability to travel 10–25%
Ability to perform physical activities including equipment installation and lifting up to 40 pounds
Preferred: Network certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
Preferred: Technical support certifications such as CompTIA A+, or ITIL Foundation
Preferred: Experience with Linux and Raspberry Pis
Preferred: Knowledge of Python and SQL
Preferred: Knowledge of Ansible or PDQ
Preferred: Ability to support Microsoft SQL Server and run basic SQL queries
Preferred: Knowledge of PRTG or SolarWinds NPM
Preferred: Experience in a multi-site or enterprise environment
