About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Create the annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Collaborate with business leaders on revenue and expense estimates
- Create pro forma financial models forecasting business performance and financial results
- Handle non-routine situations independently
- Analyze strategic problems, data, and information to provide financial insights and recommendations
- Use Workday Adaptive Planning to manage financial information and build workforce, revenue, and expense planning models
- Track and review actuals versus budget and forecast estimates
- Prepare variance explanations and narrate key performance drivers
- Advise on pricing and decision-making for new initiatives, clients, and business opportunities
- Prepare executive and Board presentations and investor materials
- Assist with capital planning, scenario planning, and M&A
- Document work processes, data sources, and definitions
- Define and monitor KPIs with Strategy and Analytics teams
- Partner with Accounting on month-end close items and audit support
- Determine financial impacts of strategic initiatives and incorporate them into forecasts and plans
- Partner with Operations leaders and Strategy, Accounting, and Analytics teams
- Report to the AVP of FP&A
- Travel quarterly and work onsite as business needs require
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree
- 2+ years of experience in consulting, finance, or FP&A at either a high-growth company or a large, well-established organization
- Superior financial modeling, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Comfort creating scalable models
- Excel fluency
- Strong PowerPoint skills
- Basic knowledge of SQL or data visualization is a plus
- Excellent communication and narrative storytelling/presentation skills
- Collaborative approach and self-starter attitude
- Familiarity with US GAAP
- Ability to communicate differences in GAAP and cash financials
- Demonstrated experience or comfort with presenting to leaders
- Experience using Adaptive Planning preferred
- Experience as a financial analyst supporting an IT organization
- Project Management experience preferred
- Six Sigma, Lean, or Agile preferred
- Inquisitiveness and openness to innovation, including AI
- Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States
- Must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require
