About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for hospital services
  • Assign accurate MRNs
  • Complete medical necessity and compliance checks
  • Provide patient instructions and collect insurance information
  • Receive and process physician orders
  • Operate the telephone switchboard
  • Meet point-of-service goals and collect payments, past-due balances, and payment-plan amounts
  • Conduct quality audits and reporting to ensure account accuracy
  • Pre-register patient accounts and obtain demographic, insurance, and financial information
  • Explain consent and patient education forms and obtain signatures
  • Review insurance eligibility and enter benefit data to support collections and clean claims
  • Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required forms
  • Provide customer service in accordance with organizational policies and compliance requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • CRCR required within 6 months of hire
  • Must be inquisitive and open to innovation, including AI
  • Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States
  • Must be able to work on-site at Ardent - UT Health Tyler, Tyler, TX
