About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform admitting duties for all patients admitted for hospital services
- Assign accurate MRNs and complete medical necessity and compliance checks
- Provide patient instructions and collect insurance information
- Receive and process physician orders
- Operate the telephone switchboard and relay calls
- Meet point-of-service goals and collect patient financial liabilities, past-due balances, and payments
- Conduct quality audits, correct accounts, complete forms accurately and timely, and provide statistical data to Patient Access leadership
- Pre-register patient accounts through inbound and outbound calls
- Explain consent and patient education forms, obtain signatures and witness names, and distribute required documents
- Review insurance eligibility responses, select insurance plan codes, and enter benefit data to support collections and billing
- Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute and document designated forms
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1+ years of customer service experience
- Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- CRCR Required within 6 months of hire (Company Paid)
- Must reside and be authorized to work within the United States
- Must be able to work on-site at Hillcrest Henryetta
