About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Schedule and pre-register patients for appropriate diagnostic procedures based on physician orders
- Select accurate medical records for patient safety
- Provide patient instructions
- Pre-register patients and obtain and validate demographic and insurance information
- Provide excellent customer service
- Perform point-of-service collections and financial counseling functions as appropriate
- Perform other job-related duties as required by the supervisor
- Work within Ensemble policies, processes, mission, and regulatory compliance requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
- 1-3 years' work experience
- 2 years’ experience in a healthcare related position
- Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required
- Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance
- Formal typing ability with a minimum of 35 WPM
- Intermediate proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Experience with multiple computer systems and dual screens
- Ability to multitask and work individually while applying critical thinking skills
- Customer Service experience highly preferred
- Openness to innovation, including AI
- Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States
