About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work daily failed bills and claims on all systems, including late charges, rebills, and additional billing reports
  • Review and update failed bills and claims on the host system and within the billing vendor
  • Work daily electronic submissions, or 277s, and resolve claim issues
  • Monitor daily claim errors and resolutions, providing recommendations for system fixes
  • Work daily late charges and rebills
  • Bill hardcopy claims and attach necessary documentation for payment
  • Pull EOBs and medical records as needed, attach them to claims, and mail them
  • Contact patients, insurance companies, and third parties for insurance information or additional billing data
  • Create training documents and tests
  • Train and educate staff and provide testing
  • Work absentee staffing desks
  • Perform other job-related duties as required by the supervisor, subject to reasonable accommodation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1 to 3 years of desired work experience
  • High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
  • Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire; company paid
  • 2 years of an accredited degree or equal experience
  • Must also be CPB Certified
  • Internal candidates must have achieved 100% productivity and 95% quality assurance for the prior 3-month period
  • Billing experience on multiple payers or be a subject matter expert on one payer
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Must pass a typing test of 35 words per minute, error adjusted
  • Ability to provide a mock training session for interviewers
  • Openness to innovation, including AI
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States
  • Willingness and ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require
