About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide personalized financial guidance to patients throughout their financial journey
  • Review benefits and estimate out-of-pocket costs
  • Facilitate payment arrangements and collect payments at point of service
  • Address billing and coverage inquiries and maintain accurate account documentation
  • Provide education and problem resolution to enhance patient experience and financial performance
  • Monitor trends and prepare operational reports
  • Support process improvement initiatives to reduce financial barriers and improve satisfaction
  • Apply subject matter knowledge in financial counseling, public benefits eligibility, billing, and customer service
  • Triage patient questions and ensure resolution
  • Perform regular patient rounding in the registration lobby
  • Ensure continuity on challenging in-house cases
  • Provide face-to-face patient connection, real-time feedback, and issue resolution
  • Identify financial process gaps
  • Communicate and collaborate with client patient care advocates, case management, social workers, customer service, and physician liaisons
  • Produce monthly operating reports for executive review
  • Conduct trend analysis and develop project proposals
  • Answer inbound phone calls during peak call hours
  • Research and respond to account inquiries in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and resolve revenue cycle issues
  • Work with leadership to implement workflow changes
  • Communicate patterns and trends with other departments
  • Collaborate with customer service on standardized training, education, technology, and processes
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma/GED required
  • CRCR required within 6 months of hire
  • 3-5 years' experience in multiple areas of the revenue cycle is preferred
  • Prior customer service and/or hospital experience is a plus
  • Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation, including AI
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Healthcare Management / Administration is a qualification they love
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States
