About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the strategy and execution of a portfolio of defense products sold to domestic and international customers
Serve as the primary point of contact for external customers
Maximize results in on-time delivery, quality, and cost
Provide leadership and responsibility for achievement of delivery milestones
Anticipate and advise customers on status
Facilitate internal and external communication
Represent the customer to keep the team focused on contractual commitments
Perform project planning and kick-off
Maintain accurate program schedules for assigned programs
Track and report project status and performance through internal reporting and program reviews
Advise the Segment Director on commitment changes, scope changes, or technical issues
Work with Business Development Managers to identify and capture new program opportunities
Participate in and lead elements of strategic initiatives across the product segment
Report to the General Manager WF

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in a technical or business discipline
8+ years of experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry in functions such as technical sales, project engineering, business administration and/or program management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Proficient with Microsoft office suite software
Solid understand of Program and Project Management
Fundamental knowledge of financial concepts such as sales, gross margin, operating income, balance sheets, and working capital
Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing concepts such as root cause & corrective action, six sigma, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
MBA
Prior ordnance and explosives background
Military service experience
PMP certification
