About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 70+ personnel
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and support while fostering collaboration, inclusion, innovation, and professional growth
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight across help desk, shipboard deployments, network infrastructure, software development, mobile platforms, cybersecurity, data, testing, cloud computing, and enterprise service operations
  • Ensure technical solutions align with project goals and government standards
  • Develop and implement program plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
  • Monitor program performance, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality results
  • Serve as a key point of contact for Navy customers and other stakeholders
  • Prepare and present briefs, reports, and presentations to senior government officials and company executives
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, government regulations, and industry standards
  • Implement and maintain program-management, process-improvement, and quality-assurance best practices
  • Manage high-stress situations, make informed decisions, and adapt strategies to meet program objectives
  • Sustain Legacy OIS while advancing OIS Next Gen capabilities for NAVSUP Ordnance Information System users

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • DOD Secret level clearance required to start
  • U.S. citizenship required for the federal clearance requirement
  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience, or 14 years of experience without a degree
  • 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating work across technical, operational, and customer organizations
  • Strong program-management skills, including planning, cost and schedule oversight, risk management, staffing, and performance reporting
  • Experience communicating program status, risks, and recommendations to senior customers and executives
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a delivery environment with operational constraints
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Desired: Directive 8570.1/8140 IAT II Security+ certification
  • Desired: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or DAU Level III Project Management certification
  • Navy IT program experience desired
  • Logistics experience, preferably DoD, desired
  • Experience managing large-scale software development projects desired
