About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform operational support duties for the Electronic Banking Department
  • Process incoming and outgoing wire transfers accurately and efficiently
  • Manage daily workflow and team workload
  • Balance accounts, wire totals, and perform morning and end-of-day processing
  • Make decisions affecting customer accounts and Electronic Banking operations
  • Email and call clients and internal departments regarding wire-transfer corrections and policies
  • Collaborate with customer service officers, retail staff, central operations, private banking, SBG operations, and specialized deposits
  • Ensure account and process integrity in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and legal/regulatory requirements
  • Maintain client relationships and resolve customer service issues
  • Review wire requests and identify potential suspicious activity
  • Support fraud investigations
  • Create and respond to wire-transfer service messages
  • Complete Regulation E investigations and maintain compliance
  • Balance the Federal Reserve balance by checking the general ledger and wires
  • Support retail staff with wire-transfer issues and questions
  • Develop and maintain department procedures
  • Manage reports and wire-transfer data
  • Create and manage electronic-banking vendor cases
  • Complete assigned department projects by due dates
  • Participate in audits and examinations
  • Assist with training new employees
  • Assist with user acceptance testing and software upgrades
  • Serve as backup for other Electronic Banking Department areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Three or more years of related wire transfer experience
  • Familiarity with Electronic Banking and wire transfers
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and ability to manage many tasks and projects simultaneously with accuracy
  • Ability to critically think through complex situations
  • Ability to communicate complicated information to internal and external customers
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and interact well with employees at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, and work independently
  • Willingness to continually learn
  • Ability to come in early or stay late as needed
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Salesforce proficiency
  • FIS IBS preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
