About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Draft and design electric power generation and distribution projects as a subject matter expert
Develop and implement solutions for power plant instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems
Assist with engineering project proposals, including technical definition, schedule estimation, and resource planning
Use AutoCAD or MicroStation for design work
Collaborate with internal and external personnel through Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings
Lead design teams and coordinate project design and technical aspects
Plan and schedule project design activities
Participate in client and contractor meetings
Resolve client, engineering, and management project issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

5-10+ years of experience within the electrical utility industry
Expert knowledge in control systems (PLC/DCS)
Expert knowledge of medium to low voltage electric systems and/or protection controls (protection relays)
Expert knowledge in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Ability to travel 10-25% locally and domestically
Ability to work in the electric power generation sector
