About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead execution of complex engineering projects in the electric power generation sector
Focus on excitation systems and related interfaces
Support balance-of-plant, electrical design, instrumentation, control, and other power-generation projects
Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing technical project activities
Design and program hardware and software systems for power plants
Ensure high performance and reliability of excitation, instrumentation, control, and electrical systems
Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and contractors
Participate in Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings
Communicate effectively and resolve issues in real time
Support client engagement and project needs through travel

Requirements

What you’ll need

5–10+ years of experience in power generation related to excitation systems
Experience designing, programming, commissioning, and starting up excitation systems
Experience with Emerson Excitation Systems
Experience with GE EX2100e Excitation Systems
Experience with ABB Excitation Systems
Experience with Siemens Excitation Systems
Experience with Basler Electric Excitation Systems
Process understanding of excitation and generator systems
Ability to interpret and troubleshoot hardware designs and process diagrams
Ability to generate comprehensive client documents and reports, including specifications and evaluations
Effective communication and collaboration with peers, management, and clients
Ability and willingness to travel 20–40% locally and domestically
Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated to achieve projects within budget and schedule
