About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Improve cyber hygiene and risk management through centralized firewall assurance
- Review and assess firewall change requests
- Configure Firewall Assurance and onboard firewalls
- Detect access policy violations, rule conflicts, and misconfigurations
- Conduct rule usage analysis to optimize firewall rules
- Improve logging, configuration tracking, and change tracking
- Support Security Zone and segment design, including DMZs, according to Zero Trust principles
- Manage firewall rule bases and internet access restrictions
- Provide third-party access through secure tunnels such as VPNs
- Authorize firewall rule requests according to Envalior security policies and guidelines
- Divide connectivity requests into change requests and tasks for suppliers implementing cloud and on-site firewalls, security groups, API gateways, and servers
- Execute assurance checks to identify unauthorized firewall rules and follow up on findings
- Implement version control of firewall policies and configurations
- Collaborate with global IT, OT, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams, external vendors, and service providers to maintain and improve firewall services and security controls
Requirements
What you’ll need- Academic degree in IT or a related field
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in network/firewall security or cybersecurity
- Hands-on knowledge of firewall rule-base management, access control, and Zero Trust principles
- Experience with cloud and on-premise firewall environments, security groups, and API gateways
- Ability to coordinate multiple suppliers and stakeholders across a complex, global environment
- Structured, security-first mindset with strong attention to detail and documentation
