About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and deliver software across the full Envisionware stack, including backend, frontend, native clients, and AWS infrastructure
  • Move ideas from concept to demo to production at high speed
  • Decompose problems and product requirements into spec-driven, AI-executable tasks
  • Direct AI tools to generate code for APIs, UI, SQL, infrastructure configuration, and workflows
  • Validate, test, harden, and take ownership of AI-generated output
  • Own features end-to-end from database schema through Java services, Angular or React UI, and Kubernetes deployment on AWS
  • Configure and deploy Docker/Kubernetes workloads on AWS
  • Design and ship Amazon Bedrock-based AI agents, including action groups, tool integrations, Knowledge Base RAG retrieval, and Guardrails
  • Operate workloads on AWS with IAM least privilege, cost awareness, and CloudWatch observability
  • Improve AI-driven development patterns, prompts, and tooling
  • Deliver features from concept to demo-ready in five days or less where applicable
  • Establish documented workflows for AI-directed development and improve delivery speed and consistency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong software engineering fundamentals (APIs, distributed systems, debugging, data flows)
  • Hands-on AWS experience (3+ years) building and running production workloads
  • Ability to reason about IAM, VPC networking, and the cost and failure modes of AWS services
  • Infrastructure as code on AWS; CloudFormation preferred, or CDK or Terraform acceptable
  • Full-stack breadth across backend services, UI, and deployment configuration
  • Working familiarity with containers and Kubernetes, or willingness to ramp fast; ability to debug a failing pod, read a manifest, and ship a Helm change
  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar to ship real work
  • Strong ability to review AI output for correctness, security, and deployment issues
  • Comfort in fast, ambiguous, rapidly changing environments
  • Bias toward shipping working software over perfect design
  • Systems thinking and understanding of how components interact at scale
  • Willingness to challenge human- and AI-generated assumptions
  • Strong written communication
  • AWS experience is required
  • Experience with Java/Jersey, Angular or React, PostgreSQL, or library, public-sector, or multi-tenant SaaS domains is nice to have
