About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise architecture strategies aligned with business objectives, operating models, and technology investments
- Advise senior client stakeholders on business, data, application, and technology architecture
- Define enterprise architecture governance frameworks aligned with client standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practice
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide transformation roadmaps
- Design scalable organisational structures, processes, and capabilities using Target Operating Model expertise
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and subject matter experts to implement innovative solutions
- Provide architectural leadership across transformation programmes
- Lead business change and capability adoption initiatives
- Support business development through client engagement, proposal development, solution shaping, and thought leadership
- Contribute to Envitia’s consulting capability through mentoring, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement
- Provide leadership and expertise from strategy and advisory engagements through delivery and transition
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience delivering Enterprise Architecture engagements within a consulting environment, leading complex client-facing projects from strategy through implementation
- Strong consultancy background advising senior stakeholders on business transformation, organisational design, digital strategy, and technology-enabled change
- Experience working with Central Government and/or Defence organisations
- Understanding of governance structures, procurement frameworks, regulatory requirements, and operating environments in Central Government and Defence
- Broad expertise across business, data, application, technology, and security architecture domains
- Ability to develop integrated enterprise-wide solutions
- Experience engaging, influencing, and building trusted relationships with senior leaders, executives, and programme stakeholders
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and credibly
- Experience defining enterprise strategies, target-state architectures, transformation roadmaps, and business capability models
- Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies, such as TOGAF
- Experience designing and implementing Target Operating Models, operating frameworks, and organisational capabilities
- Understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud and their role in enterprise transformation
- Experience establishing architecture governance, assurance frameworks, and decision-making processes
- Strong commercial awareness and experience supporting business development, shaping opportunities, developing proposals, and contributing to client growth
- Collaborative and consulting-focused mindset
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain SC-level security clearance
- Professional certifications such as TOGAF, BCS Business Architecture, AWS, or Azure are desirable
- Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, and cloud-native delivery approaches is desirable
- Experience leading multidisciplinary consulting teams and mentoring architects or consultants is desirable
