About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and deliver modern reporting solutions supporting daily business operations, program leadership, and analytical initiatives
Source data from BigQuery-based data marts and distribute through approved agency channels
Serve as technical lead for the Power BI development team
Provide mentoring, best-practice direction, and coordination across program areas
Work with business partners, data engineers, and ETL developers to ensure accurate data sourcing from BigQuery data marts
Develop visually effective, accessible, and standardized reports aligned with agency reporting and accessibility requirements
Ensure Power BI assets follow governance, security, and documentation standards
Perform testing and validation for accuracy, reliability, and consistency across reporting products
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, verify data elements, and support enterprise reporting needs
Produce and maintain technical documentation, report specifications, and support materials

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on developing Power BI reports and dashboards in an enterprise environment — 5 years required
Expertise with modern ETL and reporting/BI tools — 5 years required
Proven ability to serve as a Technical Lead for a team of 4 or more developers — 5 years required
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively address both technical and non-technical audiences — 5 years required
Strong understanding of data models, data visualization best practices, and enterprise reporting standards — 5 years required
