About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
- Ensure a high standard of financial reporting quality
- Independently manage day-to-day accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting
- Regularly reconcile general ledger accounts
- Review daily incoming invoices
- Review accounting matters and prepare the corresponding payment runs
- Take responsibility for intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Support VAT advance returns, as well as business statistics, reports, and analyses
- Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects and process improvements
- Support the external auditors in preparing and auditing the annual financial statements
- Provide relevant documentation to the external auditors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Successfully completed commercial vocational training or a degree with a focus on finance, accounting, or bookkeeping
- Several years of relevant, in-depth experience in financial accounting
- Experience with both day-to-day accounting operations and financial statement preparation
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and efficient in using digital applications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central and Copilot is a plus
- Up-to-date expertise in accounting and bookkeeping
- Business-fluent German language skills
- Confident communication skills in English
- Team-oriented, communicative, accurate, responsible, independent, and solution-oriented working style
