About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospect, quote, and close new business opportunities for small businesses
  • Engage prospects through phone and email
  • Follow up responsively on all lead channels
  • Learn and manage leads within a CRM platform
  • Learn and successfully utilize a commercial lines comparative rating platform
  • Maintain an adequate prospect pipeline to achieve sales targets
  • Develop cross-selling strategies for existing client books
  • Provide quote comparison reviews and articulate coverage differences
  • Utilize and maintain EPIC’s CRM and Agency Management System within designed standards
  • Attend educational, training, and other sessions as directed by EPIC
  • Achieve an annual target of roughly $75,000 in new revenue

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Property & Casualty license required; in-progress will be considered if completion date is prior to starting in role
  • Minimum one year of experience in Commercial Lines marketing or placement
  • Functional knowledge of Commercial Property & Casualty lines of coverage and services
  • Capacity to present, communicate, and build trust with confidence and expertise
  • Ability to solve practical problems with diverse variables where only limited standardization exists
  • Client focus and professional client engagement
  • Sales-driven mentality
  • Motivation to handle a high volume of leads
  • Adaptability and willingness to build new lead sources
  • Proactive mindset and readiness to hit the ground running
  • Consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to dealing with prospects, clients, and associates
