About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the Client Executive and/or Client Manager with maintenance of clients’ employee benefits programs and day-to-day account service
- Prepare materials for client meetings, including agendas, reports, and presentations
- Process BORs, update internal systems and client portals, and prepare invoices
- Contribute to 5500 filings, audits, benchmarking, experience and financial analytic reports, and other client-service data
- Provide open enrollment support through communication materials, onsite and virtual meetings, and health fairs
- Assist with resolving client and employee issues, including billing discrepancies and claims issues
- Build relationships and collaborate effectively
- Set priorities and manage workflow with the Client Executive and/or Client Manager
- Maintain workflow logs and update benefits information in agency management systems, manuals, documentation, and records
- Stay informed about industry information, products, programs, coverages, legislation, and technology
- Project a professional image in actions and appearance
Requirements
What you’ll need- General knowledge of Employee Benefits coverages and services
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Windows, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Strong ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work effectively with and without direct supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- High school diploma required
- Two or more years’ experience with a benefits consulting or brokerage firm, or comparable experience with an insurance carrier or TPA preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
- High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
- Washington Life, Disability (health), Travel license preferred or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire
- Valid driver license
