About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead shifts and direct/support teammates to ensure services meet LubeZone standards and policies
- Drive sales by discussing recommended services with drivers and fleet customers, providing accurate quotes, and growing average tickets through honest recommendations
- Build customer relationships, greet drivers, minimize wait times, and resolve concerns and complaints
- Run the location when the General Manager is away
- Help build work schedules and track paid time off and absences
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and healthy work environment and report safety incidents
- Support inventory, stocking, work order accuracy, and end-of-shift wrap-up
- Spend at least 30 to 40% of time performing truck services alongside teammates
- Complete 30 days of hands-on technician and sales training
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years in a supervisor, shift lead, or assistant manager role in retail, automotive service, quick lube, or a similar fast-paced customer business
- A proven record in sales: hitting goals, upselling, or growing average tickets
- Strong communication skills and the ability to calmly resolve customer problems and complaints
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ready to spend at least 30 to 40% of your time hands-on, working on trucks in a shop environment
- Available to work evenings and weekends
- Experience with class 6, 7, and 8 semi-truck maintenance or lubrication is a bonus
- Background in truck stops, fleet service, or heavy-duty parts and service sales is a bonus
- Experience with scheduling, inventory, or point-of-sale systems is a bonus
