About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead shifts by directing and supporting teammates so every service meets LubeZone standards and policies
  • Drive sales by discussing recommended services with drivers and fleet customers, providing accurate quotes, and growing average tickets through honest recommendations
  • Build customer relationships, greet drivers, keep wait times short, and resolve customer concerns and complaints
  • Run the location when the Location Manager is away
  • Help build work schedules and track paid time off and absences
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, and healthy work environment and report safety incidents
  • Support inventory, stocking, work order accuracy, and end-of-shift wrap-up
  • Perform services on the floor when bays are busy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years in a supervisor, shift lead, or assistant manager role in retail, automotive service, quick lube, or a similar fast-paced customer business
  • A proven record in sales: hitting goals, upselling, or growing average tickets
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to calmly resolve customer problems and complaints
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment and ready to jump in on the floor when it's busy
  • Bonus: Experience with class 6, 7, and 8 semi-truck maintenance or lubrication
  • Bonus: Background in truck stops, fleet service, or heavy-duty parts and service sales
  • Bonus: Experience with scheduling, inventory, or point-of-sale systems
