About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Diagnose and repair light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles, including tractor trailers
  • Perform A-PMs and B-PMs
  • Perform BIT and DOT inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance on trailers and limited minor repairs as needed
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Class 6-8 diesel engines and other diesel engines
  • Use computer diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
  • Travel to customer locations to complete repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain the service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
  • Work independently in the field while delivering quality repairs under time pressure
  • Take ownership of vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ yrs DOT inspections
  • 3+ yrs of Mobile Technician experience
  • 10+ yrs of diesel repair experience
  • Knowledge of CVSA out-of-service criteria
  • Ability to work in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to pass a drug/background test
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License, have a good driving record, and have no suspensions
  • Welding experience preferred as a differentiator
  • Willingness/desire to work 10-hour Monday-Friday shifts
  • Willingness/desire to work 10 hours of overtime each week
  • Employment contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check
