About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform A-PMs and B-PMs
- Perform BIT and DOT inspections
- Perform preventive maintenance on trailers and limited minor repairs when needed
- Perform preventive maintenance on diesel engines, including Class 6-8 diesel engines
- Use computer diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical/electrical issues
- Diagnose and repair light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles, including tractor trailers
- Travel to customer locations to complete repairs and maintenance
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
- Work independently in the field
- Deliver quality repairs under time pressure
- Support vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3+ years of DOT inspections
- 3+ years of Mobile Technician experience
- 10+ years of diesel repair experience
- Knowledge of CVSA out-of-service criteria
- Ability to work in changing weather conditions
- Ability to pass a drug/background test
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical exam
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and no suspensions
- Welding experience is a plus
- Willingness/desire to work 10-hour Monday-Friday shifts
- Willingness/desire to work 10 hours of overtime each week
- Flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 1:00 PM
