About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform A-PMs and B-PMs
  • Perform BIT and DOT inspections
  • Perform preventive maintenance on trailers and limited minor repairs when needed
  • Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of diesel engines, including Class 6-8 diesel engines
  • Use computer diagnostics to identify and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
  • Travel to customer locations to complete repairs and maintenance
  • Maintain service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
  • Diagnose and repair light-, medium-, and heavy-duty vehicles, including tractor trailers
  • Work independently in the field and deliver quality repairs under time pressure
  • Manage service vehicle and inventory while supporting vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of DOT inspections
  • 3+ years of Mobile Technician experience
  • 10+ years of diesel repair experience
  • Knowledge of CVSA out-of-service criteria
  • Ability to work in changing weather conditions
  • Ability to pass a drug/background test
  • Must hold a valid driver's license, have a good driving record, and have no suspensions
  • Monday through Friday schedule with flexible start times
  • No overnight shifts
  • Welding experience is helpful
  • Desire to work 10-hour shifts Monday through Friday is helpful
  • Desire for 10 hours of overtime each week is helpful
  • Employment contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen, physical exam, and background check
