About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial tractors, trailers, and fleet equipment on mobile road calls and in-yard service
- Deliver prompt, professional service and clear communication
- Inspect and service brakes, electrical and hydraulic systems, hubs, axles, tires, bodies, and trailer components
- Perform preventative maintenance and test equipment to ensure safe, reliable performance
- Document work through detailed work orders, inspection reports, repair notes, and findings for management
- Maintain DOT-ready standards so trailers meet U.S. Department of Transportation road safety requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- 4+ years’ experience repairing commercial tractors and trailers
- Mobile repair experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- CDL preferred
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a hands-on service environment
- Basic computer and communication skills for repair orders, billing, and documentation
- Reliable follow-through to complete daily tasks safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Experience with welding a plus
- Self-motivated and independent mindset
- High School Diploma or equivalent
