About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and manage an always-on content engine for EQ Bank’s reverse mortgage business across broker and direct-to-consumer channels
  • Develop and maintain integrated content strategy, annual and rolling content calendars, audience plans and publishing cadence
  • Translate reverse mortgage product positioning into clear, trustworthy and audience-specific content
  • Partner with Marketing, Sales, Direct-to-Consumer, Product, Digital, Creative, Media, Public Relations, Legal and Compliance teams
  • Act as lead writer, editor and content producer across web, articles, search, email, newsletters, social, video, webinars, presentations, FAQs, guides, infographics and interactive tools
  • Develop marketing and sales-enablement materials, family-ready content and broker tools
  • Create scenario-based, proof-led and plain-language content explaining reverse mortgage concepts
  • Interview customers, brokers, sales leaders and subject-matter experts for stories, testimonials and case studies
  • Manage editorial, accessibility, search optimization, freelancers, agencies and production partners
  • Manage review, translation, Legal and Compliance approval, publishing and maintenance of English and French deliverables
  • Own direct-to-consumer funnel and lifecycle content, including segmented nurture journeys
  • Connect paid, owned, CRM and advisor-assisted content into end-to-end customer journeys
  • Use testing and performance data to optimize content and conversion paths
  • Define KPIs, reporting requirements and performance dashboards
  • Measure reach, engagement, search visibility, video, webinar, email, download, broker usage, lead and conversion performance
  • Monitor the Canadian reverse mortgage category and conduct recurring competitive content audits
  • Stay current on content marketing, search, social, video, webinars, accessibility, generative AI and financial-services communications

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Business or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in content marketing, editorial, lifecycle marketing, digital marketing or a related role
  • Financial-services or mortgage experience is an asset
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio demonstrating long-form depth and concise channel-specific copy
  • Ability to produce content across written, social, video, webinar, presentation and traditional marketing formats
  • Experience planning editorial calendars and managing parallel deliverables from brief through approval and publication
  • Understanding of full-funnel and lifecycle content strategy, including segmentation, nurture journeys, conversion content and behavioural triggers
  • Experience with content analytics, CRM and marketing automation, web analytics, social reporting, search optimization and testing methodologies
  • Ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, accurate, empathetic and accessible language
  • Strong editorial judgement within Legal, Compliance, regulatory, brand and accessibility guardrails
  • Project management, prioritization, stakeholder-management and vendor-management skills
  • Bilingual English/French capability is considered an asset
