About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage a team of front-line sales members across a defined region
- Drive origination growth through broker relationships
- Deliver revenue, volume, and market-share targets across Alternative and Reverse Mortgage portfolios
- Establish brokerage segmentation, coverage, and capacity balancing
- Monitor regional performance, identify variances, and reallocate resources
- Drive consistent sales execution standards, KPI expectations, call/visit cadence, and submission quality
- Lead performance calibration, coaching, mentoring, and joint sales visits/webinars
- Set regional targets and growth strategies with the VP of Sales
- Assign brokerages to sales representatives and oversee annual sales plans
- Monitor sales activities, volume targets, efficiency metrics, and submission KPIs
- Collect broker and internal feedback on sales representative performance
- Identify strategic opportunities and develop business cases or proposals
- Resolve broker-related issues and escalate underwriting decisions as required
- Champion CRM usage and use Power BI reporting to assess performance
- Strengthen relationships with Regional Managers and network partners
- Identify partnership opportunities and act as escalation point for network issues
- Attend industry, sponsorship, broker, and trade events; support product presentations
- Oversee regional marketing campaigns, budgets, events, and broker-facing materials
- Partner with Marketing and Product teams to refine product value propositions
- Compile competitive analysis and recommend strategies
- Consolidate regional performance data and standardize reporting dashboards
- Ensure CRM data integrity and discipline
- Provide executive-level regional summaries to the VP Sales & Distribution
- Manage and approve monthly sales representative expenses
- Review weekly sales activity and Power BI reports
- Serve as permanent regional delegate on the Fraud Committee
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong capability in scaling sales execution models and driving consistency within region
- Advanced knowledge of Alternative and Reverse Mortgage products, strategy, and broker positioning
- Strong proficiency in data analytics, performance reporting, and insight generation using Power BI and CRM
- Post-secondary education (diploma/degree)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience, including at least 3 years’ people management experience and 5–8 years’ combined sales and mortgage underwriting experience
- Expert knowledge of residential mortgage market, mortgage underwriting, risk, compliance, and loan structuring
- Elevated knowledge of fraud risk in the mortgage industry and ability to mitigate misrepresentation concerns
- Exceptional leadership and coaching skills
- Ability to lead, motivate, and work effectively with RBMs and BDMs
- Excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of mortgage lending
- Ability to perform in a changing, high-volume, high-intensity environment
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Self-directed and highly organized; able to multitask
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
- Experience enhancing processes and procedures, reporting, and implementing or leveraging supporting technology
- Must possess a driver’s license in good standing
- Candidates considered for hire must successfully complete a criminal background check and credit check
