About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Administer, stabilize, and secure environments hosted in Azure
- Support development and support teams across development, test, and production environments
- Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Linux and Windows servers, databases, and infrastructure components
- Automate recurring tasks using scripts and scheduled tasks
- Diagnose and resolve production incidents involving servers, networks, storage, and performance
- Manage accounts, access controls (Entra ID / Active Directory), certificates, and compliance
- Implement security best practices across all environments
- Apply infrastructure as code and GitOps best practices using Terraform, OpenTofu, FluxCD, and ArgoCD
- Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and security
- Respond to requests, investigate issues, and apply corrective measures
- Optimize cloud usage to reduce operating costs
- Work closely with the Manager, Product Development, and six infrastructure specialists
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or information technology, or a college diploma
- 5+ years of experience in systems administration (Linux and/or Windows Server) in Azure environments
- Experience maintaining existing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
- Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration, networking (DNS, firewalls, VPN, load balancing), storage, and databases, as well as scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python)
- Solid understanding of security practices
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, or equivalents)
- Excellent knowledge of French and English (spoken and written)
- Strong organizational and task prioritization skills
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate, write, and synthesize information
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Team spirit, tact, diplomacy, autonomy, rigor, and discipline
- Curiosity and a desire to learn
- Cloud (Azure) or systems administration (Linux, Microsoft) certifications are an asset
- Relevant experience in product development is an asset
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code and GitOps tools (OpenTofu, Terraform, FluxCD, ArgoCD) is an asset
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes cluster management is an asset
