About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide project coordination, analytical support, and day-to-day operational ownership for the business development organization
Support experienced financial professional recruiting, onboarding, practice acquisition, succession planning, and M&A activities
Partner with recruiting, onboarding, and integration teams to continuously improve processes
Act as a subject matter expert across various functions
Develop and maintain project plans
Clarify responsibilities and deadlines, monitor dependencies, and communicate progress, risks, and decisions requiring attention
Own recurring workflows, work queues, reporting, and follow-through
Maintain process documentation and promote consistent execution
Escalate exceptions appropriately
Build and maintain financial models supporting opportunity assessment, scenario comparisons, and planning
Validate inputs, document assumptions, and translate findings into clear business summaries
Serve as an operational point of contact and provide status updates
Coordinate across teams to align priorities and keep deliverables on track
Identify repetitive tasks and process bottlenecks
Recommend practical process improvements
Explore approved AI tools to streamline reporting, documentation, and workflow coordination while protecting confidential information and validating outputs

Requirements

What you’ll need

Experience supporting financial professionals in financial services, wealth management, business development, or operations environment
Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance project work with recurring responsibilities
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Proactive approach to owning processes and following through on commitments
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to explain financial information, summarize issues, and identify actionable next steps
Financial analysis skills, including assessing data, evaluating assumptions, comparing scenarios, and identifying inconsistencies
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Comfort building, maintaining, and reviewing financial models, formulas, and reporting tools
Project coordination or project management skills
Ability to track milestones, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across multiple stakeholders
Interest in using AI and automation responsibly
Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential recruiting, financial, and transaction-related information
Preferred: Exposure to experienced finance recruiting, onboarding, practice acquisitions, succession planning, or M&A-related operations
Preferred: Familiarity with CRM platforms, pipeline reporting, and project or workflow management tools
