About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and further develop solution and enterprise architectures across the data, application, and technology architecture layers
Design cloud and data platform architectures in public cloud environments, particularly based on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric
Design microservice, integration, and event-driven architectures, as well as interfaces using JSON and XML
Document architectures using UML, arc42, ArchiMate, or comparable templates
Advise and coordinate with clients, project teams, and management
Facilitate architecture decisions in agile delivery environments
Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams on the use of container platforms, Kubernetes, Platform as a Service, and modern operating models
Address security, data protection, and governance requirements
Support complex integration initiatives, particularly in the public sector and federal government environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed tertiary-level degree in computer science, such as a degree from an ETH or university, university of applied sciences, bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent training
Certification as a Certified Professional for Software Architecture, such as iSAQB, or an equivalent qualification
Several years of experience as a solution, software, or enterprise architect
Experience designing and documenting complex architectures
Strong knowledge of data analytics, data warehousing, data mesh, and data platforms
Proficiency in data science environments and practical experience with Apache Spark
Several years of experience in public cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure
Ideally, experience with Microsoft Fabric
Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification or an equivalent qualification
Practical experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, interface design, and container platforms, particularly Kubernetes
Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or SAFe
Very good German skills as the primary working language
Good English skills
Ideally, experience with integration initiatives in the federal government environment, as well as knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection assessments
Ideally, TOGAF certification
HERMES Advanced 2022 certification is an advantage
