About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead complex procurement engagements from strategy development and requirements gathering through to tendering and contract award
Advise on strategic, commercial, and legal matters in public procurement
Develop procurement and sourcing strategies
Evaluate vendors and solutions, increasingly including AI-related solutions
Take responsibility for projects at the intersection of business functions, processes, IT, and the market
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders
Further develop the consulting offering
Build capabilities within the team
Develop long-term client relationships

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree
Several years of experience in public procurement
In-depth knowledge of Swiss procurement law, particularly the Federal Act on Public Procurement (BöB) and the Inter-Cantonal Agreement on Public Procurement (IVöB)
Experience confidently managing complex tender procedures
Ability to systematically gather business requirements across organizational, process, and IT domains
Ability to rigorously assess vendors, solutions, and sourcing approaches
Experience systematically managing complex initiatives and bringing together diverse stakeholders
Entrepreneurial mindset and willingness to take responsibility
German and English at C1 level
Project management or project leadership experience with HERMES
Experience procuring IT, digitalization, or consulting services, as well as managing complex contracts
French language skills and a legal background or further education at the intersection of procurement and law would be an advantage
