About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set up, adjust, and operate CNC and automated turning and rolling machines
  • Load raw materials and verify machine programs, tooling, and production parameters before startup
  • Perform machine changeovers and tooling adjustments
  • Monitor equipment performance and adjust machines to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and communicate major concerns to maintenance or supervisors
  • Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, and optical inspection equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, control plans, and work instructions
  • Verify products meet customer specifications and automotive quality standards
  • Complete production and quality documentation
  • Identify, document, and report non-conforming materials or process deviations
  • Meet production goals while maintaining quality and safety standards
  • Monitor cycle times, downtime, scrap rates, and productivity metrics
  • Participate in continuous improvement, efficiency, waste reduction, and process optimization initiatives
  • Support engineering and quality teams during product launches and process improvement projects
  • Perform operator-level preventive maintenance and daily inspections
  • Maintain tooling and equipment in proper operating condition
  • Assist maintenance personnel with troubleshooting and repairs
  • Support movement of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods
  • Package and label products according to customer requirements
  • Maintain inventory accuracy and product traceability
  • Follow safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment using 5S principles
  • Wear required PPE and participate in safety meetings, training, and improvement activities

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience operating industrial production equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts and overtime as required
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Working knowledge of machining and metal-forming processes
  • Understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Experience using precision measurement and inspection equipment
  • Ability to proactively identify and address quality concerns
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Dedication to workplace safety and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for repetitive tasks
  • Regular bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
