About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support technical delivery of a variety of industrial environmental permitting projects
  • Help lead critical projects for global clients, predominantly addressing regulatory challenges
  • Work with environmental regulators to achieve client-favourable outcomes
  • Support data centre and wider key-client projects
  • Develop client proposals
  • Build client relationships and internal and external networks
  • Ensure client satisfaction through project communication and engagement
  • Potentially develop and deliver similar projects across Europe and contribute to EMEA programmes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting/Pollution Prevention Control regimes across the UK
  • Knowledge of Emissions Trading Schemes (ETS) is a bonus
  • Detailed knowledge of equivalent European regimes to those in the UK will also be considered
  • Knowledge of working with environmental regulators to seek client favourable outcomes
  • Ability to propose and support the client’s position underpinned by prior precedent or impact assessment
  • Working knowledge of environmental impact assessment disciplines relevant to environmental permitting
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant science or environmental discipline is ideal
  • Experience in either a consulting environment, the regulatory sector, or industry
  • Ability to work on UK-focused and potentially European projects
  • Ability to work on Northern Europe-focused and potentially EMEA programme projects
