About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and oversee all aspects of demolition projects, including planning, scheduling, budget management, resource allocation, and work execution.
- Develop and implement comprehensive demolition plans, work methodologies, and risk assessments in accordance with local regulations, industry best practices, and ERM France SAS safety standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE/QHSE) regulations while promoting a strong safety culture across all worksites.
- Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, subcontractors, and internal teams to facilitate project progress and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Oversee the selection, procurement, and maintenance of demolition equipment and materials.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor project performance, and prepare regular progress reports for management.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
- Lead, support, and develop project teams, including site managers and demolition operatives.
- Ensure the implementation of appropriate waste management and recycling procedures for all demolition materials.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, public works, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8–10 years of experience managing demolition projects, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
- Extensive knowledge of demolition techniques, specialist equipment, and applicable regulations, particularly French regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of HSE/QHSE principles and practices within the demolition sector.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
- Fluency in written and spoken French and English.
- Relevant professional certifications, such as NEBOSH or demolition and construction-site safety certifications, are a significant advantage.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to different sites across France.
