About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines with SAST/DAST, dependency and container scanning, secrets detection, and policy-as-code security gates
  • Manage Infrastructure as Code and automate provisioning, configuration, scaling, patching, backups, and disaster recovery
  • Manage, monitor, and harden AWS infrastructure for security, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency
  • Operate containerized and orchestrated workloads with automation and security enforced as code
  • Harden operating systems and applications through secure baselines, patching, framework/library and API security, and encryption in transit and at rest
  • Maintain observability and security tooling for logging, alerting, threat detection, and compliance monitoring
  • Support incident response and vulnerability management through remediation
  • Map and evidence technical controls against ISO 27001:2022, SOC 2, and CIS benchmarks
  • Contribute to AI-security controls aligned to ISO/IEC 42001 and the OWASP LLM Top 10
  • Maintain auditable documentation of systems, pipelines, controls, and runbooks

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum 8 years in DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering
  • Substantial production experience operating workloads on AWS
  • Proven track record securing cloud and application environments
  • Deep, hands-on AWS expertise across compute, networking, IAM, and data services
  • End-to-end CI/CD ownership, such as GitLab CI or GitHub Actions
  • Strong Infrastructure as Code practice, such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes or equivalent tooling
  • Scripting and automation with Python and Bash
  • Monitoring and logging experience with CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Prometheus/Grafana, or ELK
  • Disciplined Git-based release workflows
  • Current AWS certification required: Solutions Architect – Associate or higher, or SysOps/DevOps
  • Experience securing cloud and application environments
  • Working familiarity with OWASP, CIS benchmarks, and ISO 27001 controls
  • Strong grasp of secure network design, including segmentation, VPNs, firewall rules, and routing
  • Secure-coding and threat-modelling experience across PHP, Python, and Vue.js
  • Ability to integrate security into infrastructure and deployment by default
  • Excellent communication and collaboration across development and operations teams
  • Security certification such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP is preferred
  • AWS Professional-level certification, advanced AWS services, SaaS compliance exposure, and AI/LLM security governance are preferred
