About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Independently conduct risk assessments for new equipment and labs
  • Provide weekly activity reports to EHS Managers and Senior Specialists
  • Support and attend monthly or as-needed Safety Committee Meetings and Safety Walks
  • Support Emergency Action Plan and drills as scheduled
  • Perform compliance and system audits for health and safety or environmental regulatory requirements, client standards, and management systems
  • Assist with near miss and incident investigations
  • Assist with direct reading instrument calibrations and maintenance
  • Be responsible for EHS at assigned labs and represent workers’ safety needs
  • Escalate issues and provide weekly improvement ideas and feedback to the Site Senior EHS Specialist
  • Provide training, field coaching, and targeted EHS assessments
  • Develop EHS compliance procedures, plans, permits, and reports
  • Support ERM Partners and Project Managers in managing and delivering projects
  • Build collaborative relationships with ERM employees

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • 7 to 15 years of experience providing EHS support, with an emphasis on health and safety, particularly in Tech R&D settings
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements
