About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in field studies including field reconnaissance, field surveys, and excavation for archaeological studies
- Visually inspect land surfaces for archaeological and historic built resources
- Comply with corporate Health and Safety requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
- Work with ERM’s archaeology and cultural heritage team to complete archaeological field surveys
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Degree in Anthropology (with a focus in archaeology) or in Archaeology preferred
- 0-3 years of archaeological survey and impact assessment experience
- Applicants enrolled in a degree granting university who have completed a field school in archaeology are encouraged to apply
- Prior archaeological field school experience a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain
- Working knowledge of archaeological survey and impact assessment protocols
- Ability to work 2 weeks on, 1 week off rotation
- Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time
