About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Execute strategic business plans to grow ERM’s Air Quality service area in Texas
- Serve as a senior technical expert for air permitting and compliance programs
- Advise clients on complex regulatory and sustainability challenges
- Identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and lead project delivery as a “seller/doer”
- Build and expand client relationships to generate repeat business and cross-sell ERM’s services
- Lead high-profile air quality and climate strategy projects
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level consultants
- Collaborate with ERM’s global Air Quality & Climate Change team to share best practices and deliver innovative solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental) or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 4–5 years of air quality consulting experience; 7 years preferred
- Technical expertise in Title V, PSD, NSR, BACT, and MACT
- Proven track record as a “seller/doer,” winning and delivering strategic projects
- Strong understanding of federal and state air regulations
- Established relationships within Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Technology, or Chemical sectors in Texas
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and client relationship skills
- This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
- Professional certifications such as P.E., CSP, or CHMM preferred
- Subject matter expertise in air permitting and compliance preferred
- Experience with air dispersion modeling, stack testing, or ambient air measurement preferred
- Familiarity with multi-media auditing and compliance areas such as storm water, SPCC, RMP/PSM, and CEQA permitting preferred
