About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Independently deliver large application features from refinement through production
Translate requirements into clear, reusable, and maintainable code
Design application features and software components
Create and maintain automated test strategies covering edge cases
Increase test coverage and monitor test results across environments
Integrate security into development and use security tooling
Debug and diagnose application issues, add monitoring instrumentation, and help resolve incidents
Identify and reduce technical and test debt
Partner with the manager and product owner on technical goals and deliverable work
Make project-level decisions with appropriate stakeholders
Communicate task-level tradeoffs with the team and product partners

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience building and maintaining production systems in .NET Core (C#)
At least three years of hands-on experience with Azure services (App Service, Functions, Service Bus, Blob Storage, Azure SQL)
Experience with Entity Framework Core and relational databases
Working knowledge of Angular or another modern front-end framework
Ability to design simple and maintainable application components and judge when refactoring is worthwhile
Experience building APIs and using messaging for service-to-service communication
Strong automated testing experience, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines
Working knowledge of application security principles
Proficiency with modern source control and collaboration workflows, such as GitHub and Bitbucket
Clear written and verbal communication
Comfort sharing tradeoffs with engineers and product partners
Ownership mindset and ability to follow through on commitments
Experience applying generative AI tools or spec-driven development techniques in software delivery
