About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver technical services for Enterprise Services, the ArcGIS Enterprise centre of excellence
- Mentor and develop consultants
- Develop and uphold technical standards and best practices
- Define reference architectures and patterns
- Drive observability and proactive service health
- Transform delivery of future ArcGIS Enterprise installations, upgrades and migrations
- Design scalable, secure and commercially viable ArcGIS Enterprise solutions
- Lead architecture across the full lifecycle, from design through to optimisation
- Improve how systems are built, upgraded, migrated and operated
- Identify and shape new service offerings to help customers keep ArcGIS Enterprise healthy
- Support customers across enhanced security environments, public cloud platforms and Esri UK Managed Services
- Work with customers across Defence, Public Safety, Government, Commercial, Transport, AEC and Critical National Infrastructure sectors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have full Right to work in UK
- Significant hands-on experience in the design, configuration and deployment of ArcGIS Enterprise systems
- Deep knowledge of databases, web applications, integrations, software engineering, networking, cloud infrastructure, disaster recovery and high availability
- Experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including firewalls, Zero Trust architectures and SAML
- Familiarity with automation, ArcGIS Notebooks and serverless compute
- Ability to engage with developers working with languages such as Python and JavaScript
- Comfortable working with REST APIs
- Experience of ITIL service management and operating enterprise-scale systems
- Ability to build strong relationships and engage effectively with stakeholders
- Pragmatic and effective problem-solving ability
