About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join the End User Development team supporting Essex Police and Kent Police IT Services
  • Deliver EUC transitional activities using appropriate assurance processes
  • Administer Exchange, Active Directory and Entra ID environments
  • Package applications for organisation-wide use
  • Develop and support the core Azure infrastructure platform
  • Support client software delivery and maintenance
  • Contribute to cloud platform development and migration
  • Participate in other project work
  • Help deliver secure and functional technology solutions for police officers and staff
  • Participate in a mandatory on-call rota after a period of integration

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience of Exchange administration
  • Experience of Active Directory and Entra ID administration
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, pressurised environment
  • Ability to work remotely with tight timescales
  • Ability to prioritise workloads and use own initiative
  • Strong troubleshooting expertise
  • Sound decision-making skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Applicants must undergo vetting and security clearance
  • Non-UK applicants must be UK residents who have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years and have indefinite leave to remain
  • UK applicants must have lived in the UK continuously for the last three years
  • Desirable: Experience of Mobile Device Management administration, particularly Microsoft Intune
  • Desirable: Experience of Identity & Access Management principles and practices
  • Desirable: Experience of Cyber Security principles and practices, including Microsoft Defender and SIEM tools
  • Desirable: Experience of Application Packaging principles and practices
